Coolify

Deploy DBLoom on Coolify with Docker Compose, a domain, one volume and one replica. Use an https:// domain: DBLoom keeps its login cookies only over https. Behind Cloudflare, see Behind Cloudflare.

The Coolify steps were not run during development. Menu names can differ between Coolify versions, so check them against yours.

Create the resource

In your project, add a new resource and choose Public Git Repository. Enter the Repository URL https://github.com/Seym0n/dbloom, then set the build pack to Docker Compose (uses compose.yaml) or Dockerfile.

Set the domain

Enter the public domain with https://, for example https://dbloom.example.com. Coolify’s proxy routes it to container port 3000 and obtains the certificate.

Set the environment variables

Paste this block, with your domain. DBLOOM_PUBLIC_ORIGIN is recommended. DBLOOM_TRUST_PROXY is optional: unset, any private-range peer is trusted as the proxy and the exposure report warns. To narrow it, replace the proxy line with the subnet from docker network inspect coolify.

DBLOOM_PUBLIC_ORIGIN=https://dbloom.example.com DBLOOM_TRUST_PROXY=<subnet of the coolify network>

DBLOOM_PUBLIC_ORIGIN must equal the domain. Add other variables only when you need them. The full list is in the variable reference.

Keep the persistent storage

Keep the named volume mounted at /data. It holds the store, the setup token and the import spool.

Check the health check

The image has a Docker HEALTHCHECK that works as is. If Coolify runs its own check from the proxy network, set:

  • DBLOOM_PROBE_ALLOW to that network
  • DBLOOM_PROBE_HOSTS to the container address

Other peers get an empty 404 from /api/health and /api/ready.

Run one replica

Keep replicas at 1. A second instance on the same store is detected and exits with Another DBLoom instance uses this store.

Deploy and run the first-time setup

Deploy, then open the domain. In account mode the first visit runs the setup wizard. Print the setup token from the container:

docker exec <container> node .output/cli/dbloom.mjs setup-token

Check the exposure report

docker exec <container> node .output/cli/dbloom.mjs exposure

It prints the bind, origin, hosts, proxies and any warnings. Fix every warning that applies to your setup.
