What is DBLoom
DBLoom is a web admin tool for MySQL 8.4 and MariaDB 10.11 that you host yourself.
It ships as one Docker image. You run it behind a reverse proxy that handles HTTPS, then open it in your browser.
Who it is for
People and teams who run their own MySQL or MariaDB servers and want a browser tool that runs on infrastructure they control.
The two login modes
- Account mode: people sign in to DBLoom with their own accounts, and administrators manage those accounts.
- Direct mode: people sign in with the user name and password of the database server, and DBLoom has no accounts of its own.
What DBLoom is not
- Not edge or serverless. It is a long-running container with one volume.
- Not a proxy. The image contains no proxy. You bring one, such as Traefik, Caddy, nginx or Apache.
- Not direct TLS. DBLoom listens on plain HTTP.
DBLOOM_TLS=ownis refused at startup.
Every deployment needs a TLS proxy in front. See Security model.
Where to go next
- Quickstart: run a local instance on your computer.
- Setup: a guided page that creates your
.envfile. - Docker Compose deploy: deploy behind a TLS proxy.
